Alright guys, as promised, here are some photos of what I’ve been eating. It’s pretty similar every day, with variations in fruit, veggies, and meat. But it’s all fantastically delicious! And basically everything else I said in my post about vegetarianism. MMMMMmmmmmmmmm.
Breakfast usually consists of 1) freshly made fruit juice (I’ve had mango, apple, pineapple, and tree tomato thus far), herbal tea, or warm milk, 2) a boiled egg or two scrambled eggs, and 3) bread (pan) with cheese spread! If I don’t have fresh juice in the morning, I’ll usually get fresh fruit, like banana or papaya.
Lunch usually consists of 1) freshly made juice, 2) soup with fresh veggies, 3) a platter with rice and/or potatoes, salad, and meat
Dinner usually consists of 1) herbal tea, 2) cooked veggies, salad, or both, 3) meat, and 4) rice and/or potatoes. Those are hot dogs in this photo! And they were the best hot dogs I ever had! See how skinny they are? Probably because there aren’t any nasty fillers 😛
Everything here is super fresh and super delicious! There’s also a hot sauce called “aji,” which is made by blending tree tomatoes, peppers, and water. It gives everything a good kick! My host mom is such a good cook too. Just like at home in Chicago, moms know how to cook best!
